We invite you to join up with friends and celebrate everything you love about drawing with a Come Draw with Me! party.
Designed as a complementary year-round programme to the annual Big Draw festival, Come Draw With Me! aims to galvanise the confident among you to lead your own drawing activities for friends and family.
We started the scheme in January 2012 at the National Portrait Gallery with a ‘celebrity special’ and have just completed a second ‘special’ at Leighton House. We are planning further inspirational Come Draw With Me! events later in the year, sign up to our facebook page to stay in touch
Turn your kitchen or lounge into a genuine ‘drawing room’
Or be more ambitious and hold your event in a local community centre, club or pub. Fix the date, invite friends, neighbours or work colleagues to join you for a novel drawing experience. We can help you create an exciting event, with our CCDWM! Beginners Guide, which will ensure everyone has a great time.
Enter the competition.
At the end of your event, choose one drawing this can either be the 'best drawing' or the one that you think best captures the spirit of your event (they don't have to be serious). Please post them on our facebook wall with a few words about your event. We will pick a winner/s on 3 September. The winner/s will receive a bumper pack of art materials presented to them as part of the Big Draw 2012 launch at the Victoria & Albert Museum on 30 September.
